Quality Posts & Goals for 2009
In my post titled Increase RSS Subscribers, I discussed my goal of 40 subscribers to my RSS feed before the end of the year. This wasn’t achieved, my current subscriber count is 15. The reason for not achieving this is simple – lack of work on quality posts for the blog.
No matter how many people view your blog, or feed, if there is a lack of quality content they won’t stay for long. A successful blog depends on one main ingredient (quality posts and content) followed by a number of smaller ingredients, which when mixed together lead to happy subscribers and greater feedback.
Take a look at Pro Blogger, David Risley and Tyler Cruz – they post often and with quality posts to match their niche. Since it’s the beginning of a new year and one of my goals for 2009 is to become a semi-successful blogger – I need to step-up and begin to take this blog much more seriously, all to often I get distracted by other websites that I own – each being as small and unsuccessful as the next.
2009 will mark the start of a much-improved blog here at Darren Singleton.com and if you wish to follow the progress then sign up for the feed. I’m hoping going to supply some great tips for my subscribers over the coming weeks.

I would say content is as important as keyword search and appealing topic selection.

Darren, I’ll be glad to hold you accountable. First of all I would encourage you to not be “hoping to supply some great tips” but to actual provide some great tips
I know it might be the same thing but from an outsiders perspective I just don’t feel comfortable when I read that somebody “hopes” to do something. Step up and trust yourself and the rest will follow.
Good luck with it.

@Mikael, Thanks for the comment Mikael. I agree, hoping to do something doesn’t mean it’s going to happen. I have modified the post to match this point, for which I am grateful.
