Get Paid to Digg

By Darren On August 21, 2008 Under Make Money

One of the greatest ways to drive enormous amounts of traffic to your website is to achieve the holy grail that is the homepage of Digg.  According to Alexa, Digg is the 125th most visited website in the world and having your website/article promoted on their homepage has caused problems for some website owners due to the shear amount of traffic that is generated.

A system called Subvert & Profit was created as a way to allow people to pay others to promote their websites in both the Digg and StumbleUpon systems.  I signed up as a ‘Social User’ and have been promoting other peoples Digg stories in return for a little bit of cash.

The current prices are shown on this page.  The main figure I’m interested in is the payouts:  currently set at $0.75USD for each vote you make and a minimum cashout value of $10USD via AlertPay.  I actually reached the payout level this weekend and received payment of $10.50USD via AlertPay this morning.  Sadly AlertPay have charged a $0.51 transaction fee, which leaves me with $9.99.

If you would like to get paid to Digg or Stumble other peoples websites, then sign up with Subvert & Profit today.

WOW! That is a wonderful opportunity and thanks for sharing that. Through my site I have received several queries to do some similar tasks and believe me, I have offered a too low price.

Subvert & Profit don’t pay via PayPal. It is currently AlertPay only.

I don’t think that Digg will be happy about it for a long time. That allows spammers and bot networks to earn a lot of alertpay cash digging other sites with their bot nets via proxy.

Looks like a great way to make a bit of money on the side. I wonder how Digg will deal with such services in the future, I guess it can be hard to tell which Diggs were paid for.

  11. Okay, so when I tried this everything went smoothly. The plugin downloaded easily, I signed up for Digg and StumbleUpon – but the Subvert and Profit “Verfiy” button wouldn’t work! I kept trying, but I think it is perhaps not compatible with Firefox 3. Any suggestions?
