January 2009 Review

By Darren On February 3, 2009 Under Earning Reports

So here it is, my first review for 2009.  I’m currently not feeling well, I believe it to be food poisoning, so this post is going to be brief.

Earnings

I received a King-of-Shaves razor for which I performed a review.  This has a market value of ~$15.25, but as this isn’t specifically income I won’t be including it in the final total.

I completed a paid review for Shop Wiki, which earned just $9.

Net Partner purchased a 125×125 banner advert costing $10 for 30days.  Payment was received by PayPal – who kept $0.69 for themselves.  My income from private advertisements totals $9.31.

I sold one copy of OIO Publisher which earns me 90% of the sale value.  I am currently awaiting a $22.50 payment to ‘mature’ over the next few days and then that should appear in my PayPal account also.

Project Wonderful have paid me $10 straight to PayPal for adverts displayed throughout January and December.

Kontera has earned me $0.05 this month, but I am beginning to use it on other websites and I hope that my earnings will increase quite a bit over the coming months.

Before fees, my total earnings for January are sitting at $51.55.  My goal for 2009 is to earn £2009 ($2961.75) in which case I need to average $246.73 per month.  I was $195.18 below target during January, so during February and March I want to work harder to pass this target and beyond.

+$51 isn’t bad for the first month but I’m sure you can do much better in the following months. My question is whether you are actively building links to your blog and whether you are trying to target some keywords that would bring in some organic traffic? I think that would be you best (and fastest) source of traffic.

I wouldn’t put ads on the LowerHouse website Hopey, unless the funds were going directly to the club.
Do you own the LowerHouse website or is it theirs?
