The Noticer by Andy Andrews
Perspective. Sometimes in life, a new perspective on things can be greatly beneficial to a vast array of situations.
The Noticer by Andy Andrews is a true tale of an old drifter known by many names, who brings perspective to the lives of others.
Before receiving this book, I had never heard of Andy Andrews, never mind read any material by him. But, after reading this book, I will be placing an order for other work of his.
From the beginning of the book I was captivated by the wisdom of ‘the drifter’ and couldn’t help but read each chapter one after the other. It is only very short, but the small number of pages adds to the likeability and makes the book much more inviting for somebody to pick up and read on a journey – such as on the train or a plane.
Reading ‘The Noticer’ has made me think about my perspective on certain things in life and I’m sure anybody can benefit from the wise words dispensed throughout the pages. Please take a moment to watch the video below, where Andy Andrews speaks about his book and will give you further information.

My day-job involves me being a programmer, primarily concentrating on PHP and ActionScript 3.0. Keeping focused on lines and lines of code on a daily basis can get very tiring and I know a lot of people tend to drink coffee and/or energy drinks in order to stay awake. I am a Cola drinker and have been for a long while but when I was approached to try out some coffee I wasn’t going to say no.
I was sent a package of Old Brown Java beans which I decided to take into work. The beans were placed in a standard cafetiere and sampled by everyone in the office. Not being a coffee drinker myself I wasn’t sure what to expect and allowed other employees of the company to give me their feedback first.
Whilst brewing the coffee the aroma was amazing and everyone crowded into the works kitchen to get a smell. The first comments were all positive regarding the aroma the beans were giving off and even just in the bag before opening – the smell was delicious.
As I mentioned before, I am not a coffee drinker but was pleasantly surprised at the taste and would definitely drink some again. Everybody else who tried the coffee was a regular coffee drinker in this first place and thoroughly enjoyed the sample pack that I received.
If you enjoy drinking coffee, I think you would be happy with the range and quality of the goods at the Coffee Bean Shop and would recommend you trying out some new blends.
King of Shaves

Being an adult male, shaving is a task that becomes a part of your daily routine. When asked if I would like to receive a sample of the King of Saves ‘Azor’, I jumped at the opportunity. When the parcel arrived
it included one razor, one blade cartridge a 175ml tube of ‘Alphagel Shave Gel for sensitive skin’ and an information booklet. I was highly impressed and immediately went to the bathroom to shave.
The first thing I realised was how smooth the Azor felt, used along with the included ‘Alphagel’ and the flexible hinge makes for shaving around the chin very easy.
The image to the left shows an example of the Azor, and how it would appear on supermarket shelves and if you are in the UK it retails for around £4.99 for the handle and three blades.
This razor had to be good, the result of six years of hard work by Will King, the Azor designer; built to be robust, yet look stylish (much like an iPod) and well priced compared to other leading brands.
I will be using my Azor for the foreseeable future and managed to pick up a pack of four blades from Tesco’s today for just over £4.
If you’d rather not nip out to the shop to get hold of the Azor – you can buy one from Amazon UK using the following link: King of Shaves Azor.

Nutritious Mixed-Seed Bars

Introduction
Eating healthily is something that is slowly becoming the trendy thing. Moving away from eating vast quantities of fast food and ready-made meals is opening up the market for natural products that are both tasty and nutritious. Wholebake is a small firm based in North Wales that has been running for close to twenty years producing the most popular mixed seed bar on the aisles of major retailers around the UK.
Products
All the products produced by Wholebake are just what is requested by the customer: nutritious, healthy and made using only natural ingredients. Each seed bar is vegetarian as well as being gluten, dairy and wheat free in order to make the products available for everybody.
The 9bar comes in four flavours: Original, Nutty, Flax and Pumpkin. The original flavour (pictured right) is what was tasted for this review. Having received the pack of bars I was taken aback on seeing that they contained hemp seed. My understanding was that hemp was another word for marijuana and this bar contained the drug.
After a little research, I quickly understood that although it is produced from the same plant – it is in-fact different parts of the plant that is used to develop marijuana along with a different growing process along with different processing methods. Once I had gotten over my initial worries, I went ahead and went for the major test – the taste test.
Taste Test
The initial bite was different to what I was expecting (I have only just begun trying healthy foods), but the bar tasted great. The original bar contains the following ingredients:
Sunflower seeds, Pumpkin seeds, Carob topping, Honey, Raw cane sugar, All vegetable margarine, De-hulled hemp seeds (3%), Sesame seeds, Poppy seeds.
I thoroughly enjoyed the first bar (having received three for the purpose of the review) and I am saving the other two to take with me to work next week. Although I enjoyed the taste of the bar, I’m not sure that is something I would purchase from a supermarket. If you are somebody who is wanting to eat foods that are both tasty and full of healthy, natural products I would recommend giving them a try.
