Blog Hosting
The following is a sponsored review and is of my own opinion and is not influenced by being paid. If you’re interested in having me review your website, product or service, please view my advertising page.
Once you have decided on a nice for your blog, the next step should be to settle on a hosting plan. The levels of service provided by a web host can vary greatly and so can the price. I would highly recommend taking a look at a web hosting directory service. These websites can give you an idea of the best packages available and by viewing them side-by-side, you get a better of idea which would be better suited to you.
One of the key features in a web host to look for is up-time. Up-Time is the amount of time that your website would typically be available. If a webhost guarantees 100% up-time then they are lying. Things will go wrong and from time-to-time updates will need to be installed and the server will need to be rebooted. Besides the 100%, the greater the up-time, the better it will be for your blog.
Many hosts may also offer a free domain name with a hosting account, but be warned – in their Terms & Conditions they may remain the true owner of the domain. If you ever attempt to change your hosting provider, you may be leaving your domain name behind!
As described on the website:
The web hosting sites listed below are rated by Price, Server Up-Time, Reliability, Eaze-of-Use, Control Panel and Customer Support
I have used several of the hosting companies listed myself and would recommend taking a look at the features of each before making your final decision. If you have had your own experiences with one of the web hosts listed, I’m sure it would be greatly appreciated if you could contribute your own thoughts in the hosting reviews section. Be sure to take a look at their review of Host Gator, the company that have been hosting my websites for the past four – five years!

I am personally a big fan of hostgator and I have most of my sites hosted with them. Their support has been great (most of the time) and I have only seen very few problems. However it is important to realize that nothing will be perfect and no matter what host you choose you will always run into some kind of problems that you will need to have fixed. That is why I think that one of the most important features for a webhost is 24/7 customer service.

If it is not 100% uptime we expect atleast 99%. Next we need 24X7 support through phone, live chat as we may require some emergency service at some point of time. You have rightly suggested to look at features before making final decision. We plan to have a dedicated server, hope your suggestion will help us in choosing the host.

Yes, it’s definitely worth doing a bit of research into various hosting providers before choosing one of them. I’ve heard good reports about Hostgator.
I have one blog with Blog-City. You get it all in one package. I’ve never had a problem with them. The uptime is high and if you have any questions they get back to you ASAP.
